The is an English-medium school, serving children in grades Pre-K3 through Grade 12. ISD is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) and the Council of International Schools (CIS). As an IB World School, ISD promotes student achievement and global citizenship. We offer the Primary Years Program (PYP), Middle Years Program (MYP), and the Diploma Program (DP). Our graduates have attended universities in the United States, Canada, and Europe including some of the top universities in the world such as Harvard, Stanford, the University of Toronto, and the University of Bath, UK. Our beautiful campus overlooks the Atlantic Ocean with bright classrooms, a spacious library, art, and music rooms, science labs, and a Design and Innovation Center. Families love making use of our wonderful campus, including at weekends, due to the attractive, green environment including amenities of a six-lane 25m swimming pool, a multi-purpose field, basketball courts and playgrounds. ISD, founded in 1983, is an IB World School, offering the Diploma Programme. IB World Schools share a common philosophy – a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that ISD believes is important for our students. To be able to give you the time you need to really see the school, we request that you schedule an appointment in advance by contacting the Admissions office. ISD has experienced significant growth in recent years. As a result, it is not uncommon for us to have waiting lists for some grades, particularly in the Elementary School. Parents are strongly encouraged to complete applications as early as possible to guarantee a spot.
